The oldest running experiment in the world has more than 84 years. It began in 1930 with the idea to show that apparently solid resin that you see in the picture is actually a liquid, though especially dense.

Special material is 230 billion times more viscous than water and flows with minimum speed. For 84 years, the court pipette only nine times, the last happening a few days ago. For comparison, but one was 13 years ago. At the bottom you can see video time lapse showing the progress of the liquid resin for two years.

Unfortunately the author of the experiment, Professor Thomas Parnell, has died. He only driven during the first three drops.
