We did not think it was possible, but after a few days ago we read the fantastic book “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors” by Carl Sagan and Druyan Yang in which (among other things) has amazing things about our closest relatives – the great apes in we are now even more eager for the upcoming “Dawn of the planet of the Apes” of Matt Reeves. Honestly, I can not wait.

Although we’ve seen two teaser posters and a few backstage photos, we have not yet witnessed a really qualitative insight into the film – in other words, we are awaiting a full trailer, one of the things we miss the most are themselves monkeys. Something expected, given the fact that (in the words of director Matt Reeves) only one frame with monkey takes between 10 and 12 weeks of work. But just monkeys – riding and using weapons (including firearms) – are a focus in the newest update advertising the film, which consists of ten official photos.

Growing and developing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar, are threatened by a group of men who survived a devastating virus, unleashed a decade ago. Humans and monkeys reach unstable peace, but not for long – and both sides are forced into a war that will determine the dominant species on the planet.
