Huawei Technologies announced that in 2013 the group has achieved planned growth and expected to account for an increase in revenue of 8.6% to 38.19 billion dollars. Even more impressive are the data for operating profit, which rise by 41% to 4.73 billion, while net profit increased by 34.6% to 3.41 billion dollars.

Chinese giant reported these results in spite of the hostility of the U.S. authorities, who accused Huawei of attempted espionage and called local operators to boycott the Chinese telecommunications equipment, which is a major expense in the income of the group. Similar problems arise for the Huawei earlier this year in the UK, where authorities have banned the use of their videoconferencing equipment .

Despite all these problems, Huawei expects in 2014 to consolidate its upward performance as the main focus will be on LTE equipment where significant growth is expected in all markets.
