You may have come across one of the nicest redesign of Facebook in the past few years, either as part of the A/B test or screenshots. Interface with large posts and photos narrower sidebar without text and various search engines was particularly well received by enthusiasts, but Facebook opted to give it up, going to a classic design.

Dustin Curtis, founder of the platform Svbtle, said that the reason lies in the reduced revenue from ads. The design was so good that consumers are not paying enough attention to the sponsored stories and other marketing components. Julie Zhuo of Facebook criticized the opinion of Curtis, claiming that the new design would be even more successful than advertising perspective. Reason for rejection by Zhuo is the burden of the new site.

It does not work and it looks especially good on small displays (10 -inch netbooks), and Facebook takes care of all its users, not just those with large monitors and quality. Expect a more detailed analysis on the subject.
