Japan Display starts mass production of 5,5 WQHD display
The company Japan Display announced that it is ready to begin mass production of mobile displays with resolution WQHD (Wide Quad HD) and in April will start deliveries of 5.5 “WQHD TFT LCD panels. They have a resolution 2560 x 1440 pixels (538 ppi pixel density) and made technology LTPS (low-temperature poly-silicon). remaining parameters of the panel include 1000:1 contrast ratio, viewing angle of over 160 degrees and the surface brightness of 450 cd/m2. Japan Display company is a joint venture between Sony, Toshiba and Hitachi, which is engaged in the development, production and sale of screens small and medium diagonal. This mass production will bring more company to start to use this type of dsplays probably we will see next flagships of HTC, Samsung and Sony equiped with this resolution.
