As smartphone company HTC is in an interesting situation. Its market share has fallen quite low and it is struggling to turn a profit. Just two days ago, HTC revealed its new flagship HTC One M8, which retains the best of One 2013, but of course with a more refined design and better functionality.

Now the CEO of HTC, Peter Chou, clearly sees prospects for his company and sharing them in a very optimistic light. He expressed his desire to see HTC take back part of the growth lost in recent years.

In 2013, HTC was responsible for about 3% of global sales of smartphones. This puts the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer behind companies like Lenovo and Motorola.

But Chou has set long-term goal to see HTC back on its feet, holding 8 to 10% of the smartphone market worldwide. But whether the new smartphone of the company can help to make this happen? Maybe, but we have to wait and the end of 2014 to see if HTC ‘s strategy is correct. We must not forget that the company intends to return to the tablet market by the end of 2014 we will see smart watch. Peter Chou and Cher Wang said that their new products will be revolutionary. So we are inclined to believe soon we will know.
