Apple is working on improvements to the maps in iOS 8
According to unofficial sources in Apple iOS 8 have set a priority to improve the application of digital maps Maps. For this purpose, the company has already acquired some smaller companies like BroadMap, Embark and HopStop. In iOS 8 we can expect the addition of more interesting places and labels that will simplify searches in public places like parks, bus stations and others.
Among the most important changes are expected to be directions for public transportation that existed in iOS 5 but disappeared from iOS 6 with the removal of Google Maps. Initially, unfortunately, maps of iOS will include information on public transport only in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles, but later the company is expected to add more data. In the distant future Apple plans to add navigation indoors, as well as to improve the performance of CarPlay. iOS 8th expect to be presented during the conference WWDC and be released in the fall.
