Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) Space Systems, which is one of three companies commissioned by NASA’s new spacecraft that operate on the principle of the retired shuttles already announced that the project reaches its final stages and is already ready date first flight. It will be November 1, 2016, the flight will be unmanned.
The flier says Dream Chaser will be launched into orbit by the Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral spaceport in Florida. Dream Chaser will have such duties in orbit and then landed successfully. Will follow multiple analyzes every detail, the data will be used for the production of future shuttle, and the second flight of the first Dream Chaser.
In 2017 it is planned to carry out the first flight of the Dream Chaser with a crew. The new shuttle is quite small and compact compared to its predecessor.
